  3. FUCK THAT NOISE!

    So while the swill merchants have been taking their hiatus, i have been playing in a cover band doing songs your high school years would most relate to. Covering anything from the middle by jimmy eat world to anything anything by dramarama. And as well as that has been going it just wasn’t enough to fuel my hunger to play, so I recently had the chance to jam with a really good drummer introduced to me by my younger brother. I called up an old friend of mine jimmy, who is the brother to both the guitarist and drummer in my original band (the swill merchants) and well never thought I’d say it but with this new trio the songs seem to keep on coming. Developing a sound I always wanted to capture and a communication in the group I always had and needed to keeping moving forward.

  4. October is a month for birthdays

    October has always been a month to share with my best friends, coincidentally i share the same birthday month with most of them. From Melissa always throwing something huge to Matt and I always trying to plan something big. Pats birthday isn’t in October but a Scorpio is a Scorpio right? Can’t knock the sign. Rachel’s birthday, I’ll try not to forget it this year but I make no promises, i’m sorry but don’t have a birthday the day after mine, you know I’m going to be hungover and my mind will not be in the right place.
    Anyways from seeing Chris browen of a band called mansions the other night at pianos - to Kevin Devine and the front bottoms last night. My amazing girlfriend is making this a birthday month to remember. With a delicious dinner at gradisca NYC to kick things off, 10 months later Leah still manages to surprise me and I love her so much

  5. To begin my night of awesomeness. Before I was able to raise a toast to the city I love, the lady I love surprised me with a ticket to go see Kevin Devine at highline ballroom. The goddamn band killed it and word is Jesse Lacey was there just to watch. ‘jesse’, Leah and I shouted through a whisper as we searched for him, but no such luck. Brian Seller of the front bottoms got a chance to open for kev dev and I could only imagine the high he is experiencing from walking off the stage last night only to be greeted by Kevin Devine to tell him what a great job he did. The from bottoms are a trio from new jersey with a sound and a connection with there music like no other. Fun catchy lyrics that match the bands personality. Please check them out, and go to a show next time they come around
